Lavender Twilight

lavender twilight
birds seeking their rest on high
musically sighing

soft murmurs so sweet
fill the evenings late hours
quiet now at rest

heads tucked under wings
little souls now full of peace
waiting for the dawn

This scene is so serene. Lovely poem Melanie. Thank you for sharing a bit of your story in your comment on my ‘Amanda Marie’ poem. A comment like yours really means the most to me…when someone who has suffered a loss like you have is touched by it…my heart goes out to you. And welcome to my blog–I am glad to be able to find yours and follow your work as well!
